April 4 at the P-TA business meeting,- a committee was selected for the purpose of nominating officers tor the coming year. This committee com-mittee will send out by mall the names of those nominated no that everyone will have an opportunity to vote. April 1 was set as a clean-up day and a day for nlantlng more lawn at the school. A good turn out 'will ' be' ' appreciated. Bring shovels and rakes. It was reported that the children chil-dren have their block finished and that , quilting will proceed In order that the school quilt will be ready for the big event on May 9. It was also reported that 100 people signed up for polio shots, which will be given In the near future. School Committee The school committee contusing contus-ing of Edith Hunt. Phyllis Wood, Marilyn Holt, Delia Delvecchlo and Frances Piper of the Valley also Mont Sorenson and Marlon Woolsey of Newcastle, met with the school board on Monday, April 8. to discuss school problems prob-lems of this area. tt ' Crow Patrol At the Boy Scout meeting held on Tuesday night April 9 the Crow Patrol was organized with the following officers: Rex Wood, patrol leader; Chandler White-liw, White-liw, assistant patrol leader; Boy Hunt, scribe; Gary Blasl. treasurer, treas-urer, and Sterling Harker. quartermaster. quar-termaster. Those in attendance other than the boys were Joe Delvecchlo, scoutmaster; George Tiiow aci stunt scoutmaster. with Bryner Wood and Don Ap- plegate as members. An overnight hike was plan-ned plan-ned by the patrol for April 19. Around the Vallef Marty Wood and babies spent a few days In Richfield. Mary left the children with her par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Luth, while she went on to Salt Lake City. Mr and Mrs Ben Roi?ge have returned to the valley. Mrs. Swartz's brother Is now visiting at the Swartz home. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Curtis have returned from Perris, Calif, where they have spent most of the winter. C. E. Mitchell Is In the Valley attending to business matters. Mr. and Mrs. Don Applegate and family spent Sunday after-noon after-noon In St. George. Ralph Gardner left April 9 for Barstow where he will Join his wife Dorothy and his daughter and son-in-law, the Larry Hesters. Hes-ters. Mr. Gardner expects to bring. Mrs. Gardner back home with him. Jack and George Albert Moyle were visitors at the Paris Rob-lnson Rob-lnson home In Salt Lake City on Saturday and Sunday. Among those attending the Primary and General conference at Salt Lake City were Violet Fife, Mary Moyle, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Laub and Augusta Hunt Mrs. Hunt brought her mother home with her to spend some time. Pvt John M. McGarry of Ft. McArthur. Callt. spent from Sat-urday Sat-urday to Monday at home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Mcgarry. Also a nephew, Dr. Wendell McGarry and family of Mantl, visited on Sunday. Mrs. Maude Moyle returned home Sunday from Salt Lake City where she has been since the last of December. The John and Charles Boss- hardts of Beryl and the Grant IBosshardts of Colorado attended services for Chester Bosshardt, a son and brother, at Las Vegas.
