Show Guard Prepares For Annual Camp By Ken Jones Monday night, April 8, the Armory was the scene for the Hq, Battery of the 213th FA battalion's bat-talion's regular weekly drill. Training was in preparation for summer camp, and was in the form of dry firing of small arms. This instruction was given under the direction of Btry. Commander, Com-mander, Lt. Rulan Woodbury. Saturday night at the Armory the Battery had it's fourth annual an-nual birthday party. The party was a big success and we had a good turnout of members sr1 former members of the 213th, and their partners. In attendance to reign over the event was our lovely queon, Miss Kay Ashcroft, who did a wonderful Job of representing the battery at the Miss Utah National Guard contest in Salt Lake City on Mar. 15 and 16. We had a great feed, prepared prepar-ed by Sgt. Bobby Hunter and other members of the committee commit-tee which was followed by entertainment en-tertainment featuring Sgt. James Miller as master of ceremonies. This was followed by dancing to the music of the Starliters. We would like to thank M Sgt Max Bonzo and the other members of the committee for wonderful time had by all who attended. |
