Show Water Content Near Near Average On Canyon Courses Watersheds in Cedar Canyon have been brought up to near average In water content, as a result of recent storms, accord, ing to the Soil Conservation Service, Ser-vice, who conducted a water course measurement Wednesday. On the three major courses, Cedar Breaks, Midway and Webster Web-ster Flat, all snow depth and water wa-ter content figures were higher than for the same period in 1956. Compared to the average on two courses from 1938 to 1952 the water content was less than one Inch short of the average, according ac-cording to Leland Carlson, soil conservationist. Figures on the three courses were as follows: Cedar Breaks, 1957, snow, 68.7 with 24.1 wator; 1956, snow 59.3 with 21.1 wati?r. Average on the course Is 25 Inches of water. Midway, 1957 snow 60.6 with 24.1 water; 1956, snow 53 with 22.6 inches water. No average is available on this course. Webster Flat, 1957, snow 46 with 19.3 water; 1956, snow 41.8 with 15.8 water. Average Is 19.8 inches of water. |
