Bennlon, educator, civic, church and business leader lead-er will give the commencement address during the College of Southern Utah graduation services, ser-vices, Dr. Royden C. Bralthwalte, director, announced. Graduation will be Friday, May 24. In addition to consenting to a large number of local and state speaking engagements through the last quarter of a century, Dr. Bennlon, respected for his fluency fluen-cy in expression, has spoken extensively ex-tensively at state and naUonal conventions throughout the country. I A past member of the University Univer-sity of Utah board of regents, he is now a member of the board of trustees for Brlgham Young University and a member of the Council of Twelve Apostles for the L D S Church. Utah has been honored by his service as chairman chair-man of the committee of education educa-tion for the National Commission Commis-sion on Inter-Governmental Relations. Re-lations. He has always been active ac-tive in civic projects and clubs, having served as one of the founders and organizers of the Utah Oratorical Society (of which he is still president) and of the Utah Symphony Orchestra. He has been president of the Salt Lake Rotary Club, chairman of the Salt Lake County chapter of the American Red Cross and the Community Chest drive, and for-raer for-raer member of the board of governors of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. In the field of education besides be-sides having taught in high school and college, he has served serv-ed as commissioner of education, he has written publications among which are "Fundamental "Fundamen-tal Problems in Teaching," "On Becoming a Teacher," "When Two Generations Meet," and, in collaboration, "Looking in on Greatness," and "Problems of Youth."
