Show PARAGONAII NEWS NOTES i - By Hilma Lamoreaux Annual holiday festivities are being planned by different organizations or-ganizations In Paragonah and Christmas celebrations promise to be very Interesting. Short programs will be presented pre-sented by both Junor and senior Sunday Schools on Dec. 20. Tuesday. Dec. 22 the Kcliof So-clety So-clety organization will hold its annual Christmas party. There will be no lesson material given giv-en on that day but a fine pro-. pro-. gram is being prepared and there . r will be refreshments and an exchange ex-change of gifts. All ladies of the ward are invited to be present. On Christmas Eve the Primary - Association Is sponsoring the annual an-nual Christmas Tree program. Scheduled to commence at 7:30 ; p. m. A short skit "No Room at I the Inn" Is to be presented fol-; fol-; lowed by the children singing Christmas carols. Santa Claus1 has promised to made a personal appearance during the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williamson William-son left for Salt Lake City on Tuesday because of the death of Mrs. Williamson's brother, W. II. Curtis, who passed away at a Salt Lake City hospital Saturday. Funeral services were to be held Wednesday. Last week members of the Williamson family traveled travel-ed to the city for a visit with the ailing man. Eugene Boardman and his mother, Mrs. Ruth Boardman, en-1 Joyed a trip to Salt Lake City last week to attend the annual Utah Turkey Show. The trip to the city was made on Thursday and the Boardmans attended the sit. tlon and other features of the show. They returned home late Saturday following the awards banquet. Mrs. Catherine Dunton was home for a time on Sunday but returned to Parowan where she is convalescing from her recent illness. I Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot, son lArdell and daughter Judy, traveled trav-eled to Salt Lake City on Saturday Sat-urday for an overnight visit with relatives there. Bishop and Mrs. Victor R. Eugene Boardman has joined the National Guard and has begun be-gun his trips to Cedar City to attend the weekly sessions of that organization. Mrs. Dorothy Lamoreaux trav-eled trav-eled to Cedar City Wednesday evening of last week to attend a party for Miss Tommy Hunter, a prospective bride. Mrs. Lydia Green was hostess for the affair which was held at the Charles R. Hunter home. Mrs. Irene Robinson left for Salt Lake City on Sunday for another visit to her city physician. physi-cian. She made the trip with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux Lam-oreaux of St. George. Lanell Topham and Mike Williamson, Wil-liamson, University of Utah students, stu-dents, were In Paragonah for the week end. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham Is home again after several week's visit with relatives In the northern part of the state. |
