Show I - NEWCASTLE NEWS NOTES By Norma Chrlstensen I think we should thank the Escalante Valley Lions Club for starting the Christmas spirit around town. The club bought Christmas lights to be strung in town. After the three little trees were put up on the telephone tele-phone poles and looked so cheerful cheer-ful up there, a number of townspeople towns-people bought lights for their homes and the town looks very Chrlstmasy at night Melvin Hulet became very ill in the middle of the night last week, and was rushed to the Iron County Hospital for emergency emer-gency treatment. We are happy that he is OK now; in fact, he is well enough, that he went to Los Angeles, Calif, this week end on business. """" Last Saturday was the day set aside for a special post cutting project. A goodly number of men responded and the project was very successful. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Chrlstensen Chrlsten-sen Journeyed to Salt Lake City In the company of Mr. and Mrs. William Thorley of Cedar City, where both couple attended the Soil Conservation Service regional region-al meet that was held in -the capital city. Mr. 'and Mrs. Reed Prisbey of New Harmony, were visitors last week at the home of their daughter daugh-ter and family, Mr. and Mrs, Clifton Clif-ton Hulet. Ramona's brother, Jesse Jes-se Prisbey, also of New Harmony, was a visitor at the Hulet home this week. Sacrament meeting Sunday was under the direction of the Uvada Stake High Council.
