Show Mr. Clifford Knight Appointed Red Cross Fund Drive Chairman CLIFFORD KNIGHT Announcement was made this week of the appointment of Clifford Clif-ford Knight, Cedar City, as Iron County Fund Drive chairman for the Iron County chapter of the American Red Cross. Announcement Announce-ment was made by McRay Clow-ard, Clow-ard, chapter president. Mr. Knight has already begun organizational work for the month long campaign scheduled for March 1960 and he indicated that community chairmen would be named in the rear future. Acting as aMsor to the fund campaign for vhe drive is Tom Cardon, member of the chapter board of directors. Mr. Knight Is the southern Utah agent for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. He has long been active in the affairs for the LDS Church, serving as a scout and explorer leader, district scout committeeman Ward Sunday Sun-day School and YMMIA superintendent superin-tendent and is at the present time a member of the stake Sunday Sun-day School board. He has been a resident of Iron County for 26 years and was for a considerable time employed by I Columbia Iron Mining Comnanv as a mine chemist safety engineer engi-neer and later supervisor of industrial in-dustrial relations. Following the appointment of community chairmen, Mr. Knight indicated that the next step will be to organize workers for collections col-lections during the campaign. According to Mr. Cloward an extensive informational program under the direction of Jay Mon-son, Mon-son, will be carried out during January and February. |
