Show Special License Plates Available For Utah's Guardsmen Nearly 5,000 automobiles owned own-ed by Utah National Guardsmen throughout the State will soon be wearing the 1900 National Guard license plate, according to Lt. Col. Max S. Dalley, commander of the 2nd Bn, 2J2nd Field Artillery. Ar-tillery. Beginning January 4, I960 all guardsmen In good standing are eligible to purchase distinctive plates at the Utah State Tax Commission office located in Cedar Ce-dar City, or by mail. Automobiles to be licensed with distinctive National Guard plates must be passenger type, not requiring commercial license, and must be registered in the Guardsman's name or Jointly with his wife only. This is the third year Guardsmen Guards-men have been entitled to buy license plates which identify them as Utah National Guardsmen, Guards-men, and which will Identify them to enter restricted areas in event of emergency. |
