After moving out to an 18 to 11 lead at the end of the first quarter of play the Broncos showed show-ed some fine ball handling to rack up four more field goals to Jump to a 26 to 11 lead and Coach Cleo Petty began to substitute sub-stitute freely throughout the remainder re-mainder of the game, as the Broncos controlled most of the game. Just prior to the half the Dugway Dug-way crew got hot from outside and brought the score to within five points, 28 to 23. In the second half of play the Broncos again showed some periods per-iods of fine ball handling, but seemed to be inconsistent in the execution of patterns, and at times became so stereotyped In their play maneuvers that Dugway Dug-way was able to anticipate passes pass-es and steal them to break ud the offense. In the final minutes of the game Elliott Jordon hit a h! streak and wound up with 20 points for high score honors for the Broncos. Petty continued to call on his taller boys, Jordon, Judd, Con-ant Con-ant and Burton, with at least two, sometimes three and at other oth-er times all four on the court. Teamed with this foursome was Earl Severance, as starters for the Broncos, but all 12 men on the squad saw considerable action ac-tion during the game. A small crowd turned out to see the Broncos in this, their fifth game of th season as the team rcfc'ntaincd a perfect record on 'the tame number of starts. |
