Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING BELVA ZIMMS Holiday decor, created a gay feeling at the home of lone Bo-lander Bo-lander last week. Wednesday evening was the scheduled time for the festive occasion which beckoned the members of the Belva Zimms. The ladies enjoyed a Christmas Christ-mas story presented by Marian Hahne followed by parlor games. Game prizes were awarded to Agnes Arns, Genevieve Macfar-lane, Macfar-lane, Arvilla Day and Mary Dal-ley. Dal-ley. On hand for the fun was a guest, Mrs. Fred Levanger. CAZANIA CLUB Husbands were included in the fun which highlighted the evening even-ing for members of the Cazania Club December 12. RANGERS CHRISTMAS PARTY Friday Night the Iron Rangers Riding club met at Milt's Stage Stop for their annual Christmas Party. Thirty-six people attended the affair which was highlighted by old St. Nick, on hand to pass out yuletide offerings. The club members and their wives were served a delightful dinner. Chairmen Chair-men for the event were Dee Lister Lis-ter and Jim Urie. Visitors this past week at the home of Mr. and V t Skinner included "Bob's" L.v.f'.or, i . Ralph, his wife and two children ! I who stopped here enroute to Goldsbro, North Carolina. Ralph and his family have been living in Ranrho Cordova, Calif. During their brief visit here they also enjoyed the company of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Burke and otlpr relatives. re-latives. Pat and Mike's Ladies Bowling team met last night after their game to enjoy a pre-Chrismas party. The ladies, including Ver-la Ver-la Cripps, Peggy Williams, Dawn Isom and Linda Goble, met at the home of Dona Wand to begin their evening social. At home and away fror.i school duties at il.e Logan campus is Miss Elaine Landlord. Kiuine will spend the holidays with her parents, the Bert Landlords ami other family members. Mrs. Gail Simkins and Mrs. Ellen Simkins anticipate a visit from their husband and son, Gail, who is now stationed with the National Guard at Fort Sill, Okla. Plans arc now arranged' for Gail to be here for Christmas. A pre-holiday vacation was completed Saturday for Mr. and Mrs. Gary Smith and their family. fami-ly. Mr. and Mrs. Smith traveled to Las Vegas where they visited with Gary's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Burt Smith. Then they. Journeyed on to the South Rlmj of Grand Canyon, and, enroute back to Cedar City, they stopped off at Page, Ariz, to take In the sites and progress of the Glen Canyon Dam project. The Smith children Joined their parents to motor on to Salt Lake City where they were guests for five days with Mr. and Mrs. D. I. Graham. Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. DelRoy Hunter enjoyed a family I dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Greenwood of Richfield and Mr. and Mrs. Max Gardner of Cedar City. The Greenwoods also had a guest with them. Miss Connie Olson. The occasion was planned plan-ned to wish the Hunters an early Merry Christmas prior to their departure for Santa Ana, Calif., where they will be holiday guests of Claude and Dixon Hunter and their families. A Thursday night square dance social took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Gail Duncan last week. Light refreshment were enjoyed by guests Mr. and Mrs. Mont Sanders, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Llndford, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. Eldro Rigby, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tucker Tuck-er and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Rice. Art and Faye Jones enjoyed a visit with Art's brother, AceL and his wife who were enroute to Las Vegas from their home inl Salt Lake City. |
