Show Jess Guymon Takes Director Post In Local Lions Club The board of directors of the Parowan Lions Club accepted the resignation of Lion Charles F. Ber.t!y from that board at a recent re-cent meeting. Mr. Bentley was serving as a one-year director on the board. Named in his place was Lion Jess Guymon who will fill the position until the end of his term of office. Mr. Bentley resigned from the directorship . because of prior commitments, but will remain a member of the club, states Don Applegate, publicity director. Members of the club are reminded re-minded by Mr. Applegate of a change in date for the last meeting meet-ing in December. This meeting had been scheduled for Dec. 20, but is now set for Dec. 27 at 7:30 p. m. at the Bel Aire Cafe. Program for the evening will be provided by Gail Benson, an eighth grader and son of Lion and Mrs. Chester Benson. Gail will play his accordion. The club again reminds residents resi-dents of Parowan Valley of the Christmas lighting contest sponsored spon-sored by the club. Mr. Applegate states that judging will take place Sunday evening, Dec. 23. |
