Show Cedar Redmen Face Busy Week, Meet Parowan, Moapa Cedar High School Redmen will continue an active pace this' week as they set three games in motion in the pre-league action. It was opened Wednesday night at Cedar City when the Redmen met the Rams in the first of the home and home series. (Results not available). The game was a makeup game and was one of the reasons for the heavy week end schedule. That will be followed Friday night Willi the Kedmen traveling to Overton, Nev., to meet the Moapa Valley crew, and Saturday Satur-day night Coach Bruce Decker and his crew will be at Parowan for a second go at Lowell Caldwell Cald-well and his Ram aggregation. The B teams will be just as active as they wil lalso participate parti-cipate In the three encounters. B squad games are scheduled at 6:30 p. m. with varsity contests con-tests slated at 8 p. m. for both of the remaining games. The Redmen have shown steady improvement and are expected ex-pected to give good account of themselves in act' on this week. Coming on to add extra depth have been Wes Roberts at oni of the forward spots and Don Reid is helping on the guard line along with Hans Chamberlain, Dan Jones and John Black. Nell Roberts continues to set the pace with 131 points in five games for an averse of 26 points per game. His high output out-put has been 39 against Basic, and Western High, also a Nevada Neva-da Club held him to 16 counters this past week. Lee Hunter at the other for-j ward spot has been a big help, particularly on rebounding. Collin Col-lin Watson, a sophomore, has been the number one reserve on the forward line. |
