'-''t? Services were held tor Arthur Eugene Hardy, 51, who'tjicd t his home Saturday mornin;vpc 15 of heart ailment. Mr. Hardy has served for many years as chairman of the Indus-4 trial Education Division at College Col-lege of Southern Utah and has trained and placed many youngsters young-sters in Utah defense industries. He was a member of the Cedar City Lions Club where he held a number of positions; he is the immediate past president of the Southern Utah Alcoholic Council, a past chairman of the Cedar City Safety Council and at the time of his death was chairman of the Traffic and Safety committee com-mittee at CSU. Professionally he served as president pre-sident of the CSU faculty organization organi-zation and has held other positions posi-tions on various committees of the college Including chairman 1 A aa! Add to Hardy Story The funeral services were conducted con-ducted by Bishop Theron Ash-croft Ash-croft of the Second Ward. Speakers were Dr. Royden C. Braithwaite and President Frank Day. Invocation was by Ilaen Coo-ley, Coo-ley, and benediction by Ray Knell. Prayer at the mortuary prior tD the services was by Homer Hom-er Jones. The musical program included a vocal number, "I Need Thee Every Hour," by the Llor Club quartet, composed 01 Merrill Peterson, Howard Wood, Ralph Hafen and Hcrschell Necley; a violin solo by Roy L. Halverson, accompanied by Mrs. Loa Johnson; John-son; a vocal solo, "Oh Dry Those Tears" by Dr. Blaine Johnson, ac companled by Mrs. Johnson. Tre-lude Tre-lude and postlude music was by Belle Jones. Honorary pall bearers were members of the College of Southern South-ern Utah and the Cedar City Lions Club. |
