GENE SMITH Lana Spovak, Gene Smith Reception Held A reception was held June 23. in honor of newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Gene Smith In the lovely-outdoor lovely-outdoor gardens of Mr. and Mrs Claude Smith, parents of the bridegroom. Guests who arrived between eight and ten in the ev ening were greeted by hostosso' Ruby Smith and Muriel Smith. During the two hour festivities Lyda Hollerman assisted at the guest book while Jolene Ilir-clii. Claudette Smith and Lynn Grim-shaw Grim-shaw served. The honored couple stood in the reception line with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Alex Spovak Spo-vak and Mr. and Mrs. flau.!. Smith along with t!ioir gra u! mothers, Mrs. Marie Laborde of I'omona. California, and Mrs. ! Lucille Snow, St. George. j Tho new Mrs. Smith, tho f;.r- j mor I-ana Spovak, wore a beige i dress of brocaded eyelet, compli mented with a corsage created from orange glamilias and vviuto carnations. Her molhor wore n:i , aijua blue gown ot cmhroidore 1 cotton, and Gene's mother cIiom' a dross styled from a cotton knit material. The off-white color of the dress was supplemented with threads of gold and silver. Both were adorned with corsages of orange carnations while grandmothers grand-mothers wore white glamilia corsages. cor-sages. Attending the couple as ushers were Kent Bradshaw, Jerry Smith and Layne Spcvak. The Sun room of the Smith home was decorated with an array of lovely wedding gifts. Villa Adams. Georgia Knell and Elizabeth Yardloy assisted in the gift room. Out of town guests who arrived ar-rived for the occasion included both grandmothers Mrs. Snow and .'.Irs. Luborde, young Kobin Unmlorson. G-n s cousin from I'omona, and Mr. and Mrs. Max Swapp. Monday.
