Show Girls' Summer Fun Beckons Participants The Girls' Summer recreation program is now well under way with classes In swimming, dance, baton, tennis, softball, bicycling, bicycl-ing, and a variety class of tumbling, tum-bling, hiking and other events organized. It was pointed out by the directors di-rectors of the program, Marian Andrews and Phyllis Chatterley, that all classes are free and open to all girls of the community. A correction should be made in the schedule that was recently printed, however. The directors indicated that Folk dancing Is taught only once a week on Tuesday afternoon, and Is not taught again on Thursday. The twirling classes arc held at this time, they said. A special event has been planned plan-ned for Friday, June 29. It will be a biclycle ride and picnic. All those wishing to participate should meet at the city park at 10 a. m. and bring their lunches. The activity Is scheduled to continue through 1 p. m. and will take the place of the variety venture ven-ture class regularly held at 1 p. m. All wishing to Join the fun are welcome, the directors said. |
