Show Death Claims Ross D. Hyatt, Parowan Native Ross D. Hyatt. 52, who returned to Parowan to make his home af- ter an absence of many years.: died last Wednesday evening at the Iron County Hospital of aj heart ailment and complications. J Funeral services were held forj Mr. Hyatt Saturday at 2 p. m. Inj the First-Second Ward chapel with Sherwin C Benson of the First Ward bishopric conducting I and Itha Mortensen at theorgauj for prelude and postlude music. I Speakers at the services were Mario Topham and R. Taylor Miller, with brief remarks by Bishop Benson. Lollin D. Orton offered of-fered the invocation, John H. Pendleton Pen-dleton the benediction, and the grave in the Parowan City cemetery ceme-tery was dedicated by Myron Jones of Enoch. The prayer at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Pendleton where the body lay prior to the services, was offered by Harley W. Dalton. Musical numbers consisted of a vocal duet, "In the Garden," by Marian Hyatt and Helen Whitney, Whit-ney, accompanied by Vyonne D. Chamberlain, and a vocal solo, "Goin' Home," by Pres. Howard D. Knight, with Mrs. Mortensen at the piano. The deceased was born in Parowan Par-owan Aug. 5, 19D9, a son of James Ambrose and Melissa Davenport Hyatt, and was a resident of Parowan Par-owan for many years where he attended grade and high schi l He was a member of the LDS Church. He married Margaret Moore, and they were divorced. Married Elizabeth Brown," and they were also divorced. He was a carpenter by trade until his health caused his retirement. Since leaving Parowan Par-owan he has lived in California, Salt Lake City and Clearfield. Surviving are three sons, John, Salt Lake City; James, Clearfield, 'and Gene R., Los Angeles; and the following brothers and sisters: sis-ters: Ambrose, St. George; Freeman Free-man W., Parowan; Donald, Running Run-ning Springs, Calif.; Glen, Salt Lake City; Priscilla Skougard and Mrs. Don Pendleton, Parowan; Clistie Nowers, Beaver; Maude Rafay, Sunnyville, Calif.; Grace Nowers and Madge Young, Salt Lake City, all of whom were here for the funeral services. Also surviving sur-viving are three grandchildren. |
