Show Candidates Studied For Role Of Miss Cedar City A contemplated seven young ladies of Cedar City will vie for the coveted title of "Miss Cedar City" on Wednesday, Apr. 13 as the Junior Chamber of Commerce sponsors' its annual contest, according ac-cording to Jack Thuet, chairman. Arrangements for the show, which will be staged in the new Cedar Stake House at 8 p. m., are nearlng completion and candidates candi-dates are presently being selected. select-ed. Walter Lowe has been selected select-ed as master of ceremonies for the event and Miss Carolyn Parry, Par-ry, Miss Cedar City of 1954, will be on hand to relinquish her crown at the annual event. Miss Parry was attendant to Miss Utah in the 1954 contest. Winner of the local contest will participate in the Miss Utah contest late In the summer and the winner there will enter the Miss America contest, Thuet stated. stat-ed. The contest this year is being held in the spring so that the winner can reign throughout the summer months and prepare herself her-self for the state competition. Civic and local business concerns con-cerns will sponsor the candidates. |
