Show Rams Slate Practice Game with Cowboys To Finish Successful Pre-Season Calendar After a four-day Jay off o'cr the Christmas week end the Parowan Par-owan High School basketball squad resumed practice sessions I on Tuesday in preparation for ;the final practice game of the ! season, and thp opening of play i in the Millard Division of Region Six on Friday, Jan. (i. The final practice gamp will he an encounter with Coach Boyd Adams' Kanab Cowboys, in the I Parowan gym on Friday, Dec. .'iO at 8 p. in. This will bp the second sec-ond encounter of the year for these two teams. Coach Dick Jones' Rams took an easy victory over the Cowboys in "the new Kanab gym early in the season, sea-son, and will bp out to repeat that performance. If this is done the Rams wUl finish their practice prac-tice schedule with a six win, two loss recard, with the only losses coming at the hands of two Class A Teams, Jordan and Ben Lomond. Lo-mond. The Rams have defeated Piute, Kanab, Hurricane, and Cedar (twice) in practice games during the month. Coach Jones' Parowan team I w ill open league play on Jan. jG at Milford against the Milford i Tigers, one of the highly rated I teams in thp division, and the Rams will havL their work cut ; out for them, as Mi.! ford has ! proven to be one of the better teams in thp area and has always al-ways boon tough for Parowan to beat especially on the Milford floor. The other opening game in division di-vision play sends Delta to Fillmore Fill-more for one of the big battles of the year with the Millard Eagles. Beaver draws the bye in the opening round. |
