Show George B. Standifird Advanced at Geneva Steel Works Appointment of George B. Stan-difird Stan-difird as assistant works engineer engi-neer at Geneva Works has been announced by Lawrence Black, general superintendent of this United States Steel facility. Mr. Standifird, a native of Frulta, Colo., started at Geneva Works in 1813 at the time the plant was purchased by U. S. Steel. He began his career as an electrical engineer In the engineering engi-neering department and in 19."1 he was advanced to the position of construction engineer. In 1952, he was transferred to Columbia Iron Mining Company in Ced.ir City as mine engineer and held that position until his present appointment. Mr. Standifird obtained a B. S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Utah. He and hs wife and four children live at 460 East 2528 North in Provo. |
