Leigh, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. (Dick) Leigh, has received re-ceived and accepted a call to fill a mission for the LDS Church In the East Central States Mission Mis-sion field. Mission home for this mission is located In Louisville, Kentucky. Elder Leigh wlU be honored at a farewell testimonial Sunday evening, Jan. 1, at 8 in the Second Sec-ond Ward chapel. He will report at the mission home In Salt Lake City on Jan. 4. At the farewell program remarks re-marks will be made by M. B. Langford, Willard C. Jones, Gary Smith, a recently returned missionary, mis-sionary, and by Allen's father, V. W. Leigh. A response will be given giv-en by Elder Leigh. Invocation will be by Allen Roberts and the benediction by Vernon Condie. The musical program will include in-clude congregational singing, and vocal so.'os by Bert Carpenter, Carpen-ter, accompanied by Beth Leigh. An outstanding engineering student, Allen has been studying at Utah State Agricultural College, Col-lege, majoring in electrical engineering. en-gineering. He also attended College Col-lege of Southern Utah during the fall quarter of the present school year. VVhUe at Utah State he was active ac-tive in Lambda Delta Sigma, the church sponsored fraternity, and in the U S A C Amateur Radio Club. At C S U he has been active ac-tive in Lambda Delta Sigma. Elder Leigh plans to return to Utah State to continue his studies stu-dies after he has completed his j mission. |
