Show D.CDixWins USflC News Bureau Post Official announcement was made Tuesday by Dr. Daryl Chase president of the Utah State Agricultural College, that D. C. Dix, Cedar City reporter for the Salt Lake Tribune, will become full-time "college editor" at the state institution on Jan. 15. Mr. Dix's duties will be to keep Utahns Informed on USAC's activities ac-tivities and services, Dr. Chase said In making the announcement. announce-ment. It had been general knowledge for some time that the board of trustees has approved the appointment ap-pointment of Mr. Dix to some type of news dissemination position pos-ition at the college, but the official of-ficial announcement was not made until Sunday. Dr, Carjton Culmsee, dean of humanities and sciences, who Is now on leave of abscence, previously pre-viously handled the USAC news bureau activities on a part time basis. Mr. Dix, a native of Cedar City, served as reporter for the Tribune from 1933 to 1951 while working as an employee at the Cedar City post office.
