JCi the past artists couM take part in the Metropolitan Auditions Audi-tions of the Air only by traveling to Hew York. Under the new systrm, area winners will compels com-pels in TORlonal auditions scheduled sched-uled for Feb. 20 in Denver for Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. Chairman for the southern Utah area is Carl Fuerstner, a member of the Brigham Youn University music faculty. Application Appli-cation should be made to him for entry blanks which must be filed for consideration before Jan. 12. Applicants will be screened and those chosen to take part in area auditions will be notified by Jan. 1G of the time and place of the auditions, now tentatively set for Jan. 21, 1956. Women applicants should be between ages 16 and 30, and men between 18 and 35. |
