A", ' - : , i ' -y i 1 t J 4 1 i .. . i ij I RICHARD BENSON WHITNEY A farewell testimonial honoring honor-ing Elder Richard B. Whitney prior to his departure for the Northern California Mission, will be held Sunday evening, Jan. 1 at 8 o'clock in the Parowan Third Ward chapel. Elder Whitney, who is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel J. Whitney, has been called to serve a two-year mission for the L D S Church, and will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, Jan. 4. The farewell testimoniel is presented pre-sented by the Third Ward Elders quorum, with Charles F. Bentley, president, in charge of arrangements, arrange-ments, and he extends an invitation invi-tation to the general public to attend the program. Principa.1 speaker r the evening eve-ning will be President George D. Grimshaw of the stake presidency presiden-cy with remarks to be given by the missionary, his parents and by Bishop Howard M. Adams. Pres. W. Clair Rowley will offor the opening prayer and Pres. D. Watson the benediction. Musical numbers will consist of congregational singing for the opening and closing songs, a piano solo by Mrs. Richard Jones and an organ solo by Miss Jackie Jack-ie Ward. Elder Whitney wiU make the fourth missionary representing the Parowan Third Ward in the mission field. |
