Show NEWCASTLE ' Mrs. Mildred Tullis The youngsters in town were when Santa Claus visited them in their homes and gave each one of them candy and nuts. The Sunday School presented a fine Christmas program Sunday Sun-day morning. The Primary had its Christmas program and party last Wednesday Wednes-day evening. Students from the C S U were out last Wednesday afternoon to observe work being done on the Newcastle Reservoir dam. Friends were pleased to see Mr. and Mrs. Willard Jones in town Christmas Day. Mr. Jones came up to view work being done on tile reservoir. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Fife are spending this week in California Califor-nia with their daughter Delores and her family. Geneva and Kenneth GUlies returned home Tuesday morning after spending the Christmas week end in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart, Sr., left last Thursday for California where they spent Christmas with members of their family at Monterey Mon-terey Park. Mr. Hart will undergo a minor operation before they return re-turn late in January. Mrs. Effie Beacham of Cedar City and daughter Fern, of Tooele, Too-ele, spent the Christmas week I end Jn town. Mr. and Mrs. Uriah Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones' attended at-tended the Rotary Club Christmas Christ-mas party in Cedar City Thursday' Thurs-day' evening. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Johnson of Las Vegas were up to spend the Christmas week end with their folks and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hulet and children spent Christmas in Mosquito, Nev. with their folks', the Leonard Reber family. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Baldwin of Alton, Utah spent the Christmas week end at the Monte Sorenson home. |
