Show Chamber Ballots Received Through Friday . Final ballots to be tabulated by the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce will be received Friday Fri-day and announcement of new officers for the organization for 193G will be made at the annual New Year's Eve banquet at Hotel El Escalante Saturday evening. In charge of the banquet which features annually the announcement announce-ment of newly elected officers for the chamber, Is Dean Williams. Preparations have been made and serving will get under way promptly at 7:30 p. m. As in the past the New Year will be welcomed by the chamber cham-ber at the dance immediately following the banquet In the ballroom of the hotel. Vying for the position of president presi-dent of the chamber Is Elden Yergensen, theatre operator, and Wm. (Bill) Thorley, automobile dealer. The vice presidential slot will be filled by either Robert Heyborne or Eldon Schmutz. Re siding at the meeting will be the outgoing chamber president, Clarence E. MUler. Tickets for the banquet and dance are on sale at the Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce offices, Cowl"y Drug, Cedar Drug, Bulloch's Drug and by members of the board of directors, and Mr. Williams. Tickets will not be reserved by telephone this year, Williams stated. Also the chairman stated, stat-ed, after 300 dinner tickets have been sold, the capacity of the hotel, ho-tel, sales will be discontinued. Arrangements have been completed com-pleted to make the event most outstanding, Williams said. Hats, noise makers the works will be available at the dancse and the banquet will feature roast prime rib, a specialty of the hotel. With only two more days left ticket sales have near.!y been completed. Patrons are urged to get their tickets In advance to facilitate catering services at the banquet. |
