Show George Smith Family Called To Father's Funeral Members of the George A. Smith family who reside in Cedar City were called to Preston, Idaho, Ida-ho, last week because of the sudden sud-den death of their father. Mr. Smith, 70, prominent fanner and rhurch worker in Idaho, died in ti is sleep Monday, July f, of ail-jnent.s ail-jnent.s incident to age. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in Preston Wednesday, July 7. and burial was in Cleveland, Idaho, his former home. Mr. Smith was born in Oxford. Idaho, on March 21!, 1ST, a son of Nathan and Jane Sant Smith lie married Hannah Margaret IN'eilson of Cleveland in the Lilian Lil-ian I.DS temple in lx;S, and they made their home in Cleveland Cleve-land until 191!!. when they moved mov-ed to Preston where they had re sided since. Throughout his life he had engaged en-gaged In farming, and had been an active member of the church, serving for many years as Superintendent Sup-erintendent of the Cleveland Sunday School. He is survived by his widow, and sons and daughters, Henry, Alf. Joseph N. anil William Smith; Mrs. Lewis (Ruby) Webster, Web-ster, and Mrs. Jack (Amanda) Pace, all of Cedar City; George E Smith, and Mrs, James (Dora) Reveridge, Preston, and Mrs. Hy-rum Hy-rum (Maggie) Christensen, Wendell, Wen-dell, Idaho. Also surviving are 2G grandchildren. 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Smith, Wendell; and two sisters, Maria l'rescott and Sarah Sant, Wendell. |
