Show Biedermans Softball Nine Scores Over Caliente An evening of inter-city soft-ball soft-ball with two women's teams of the Ced.tr City league as hosts was liehl on the local diamond Tuesday as a preliminary to the Women's Softball tournament to lie staged on July 22, 23, 21. Biedermans Ranch of Cedar City scored a completely one-sided victory over a young set from Caliente, New, to the turn- of 31 lo 2. The only inning in which Ihe Navadians scored was tin-fourth tin-fourth after Maudell Smith, on the mound for the local crew, let up two walks after the bases had Iieen filled. Birder mans scored in every inning in-ning and about had their way if he ball was out of the infield. Mill's, another local nine, were handed a 39 to set back by the always strong Rocky Mountain Service team of St. George. Fa-fen, Fa-fen, finicking for the St. George crew, set the local girls down without much trouble and Milt's players were plagued with errors er-rors in the field to allow the RMS crew to score. All of the teams will be in the 5uthern Utah Softball tournament tourna-ment to be staged by the Cedar City Women's Softball Association. |
