Show High School Operetta ! Plays to Capacity Audiences Another fine musical performance perform-ance prepared by the music department de-partment of the Parowan High School was presented to the public pub-lic twice during the week with the school auditorium packed to capacity for both performances. This time it was the operetta "Gypsy Rover," presented under the direction of LeNoir Asay, music mu-sic instructor, on Thursday night of last week and Monday night! of this. The large and appreciative audience aud-ience at each performance expressed ex-pressed the opinion that the operetta op-eretta was one of the finest musical musi-cal presentations to be given at the high school for several years. The operetta was presented with a different cast In leading roles as far as possible at each performance, and all those taking tak-ing part did excellents jobs. Mr. Asay' was assisted in the direction direc-tion of the operetta by Mrs. Jean Hendrickson of the high school faculty. Mrs. Marguerite Orton, also of the faculty, had charge of make-up and Mrs. Mary Lyman was accompanist for the musical. Following the Monday night presentation, all members who had any part In the presentation, enjoyed a pot luck supper and party in the home economics rooms of the school. |
