Show CEDAR CITY HIGH SCHOOL NEWS - 1 h J By Wayne Decker j The Area F F A Parliamentary procedure and public speaking meet will be held in St. George Saturday, Mar. 12. Wesley Bryant, Tom Williams, Dilworth Armstrong, Arm-strong, Clark Maxwell and Kenneth Ken-neth Ferkins will represent the Cedar High School F F A chapter In the parliamentary procedure contest. Wesley Bryant will be the entry in the public speaking contest from the local chapter. Elmer Cox, the agricultural in-F in-F A leader, will accompany the participants to St. George. Next Monday, Mar. 14, the Ka-nab Ka-nab High School will stage its return assembly for the exchange assembly that we sent to them last fall. The music of the "Nutcracker "Nut-cracker Suite" will be the theme of this exchange assembly. "Better Homes for Better Living" Liv-ing" was the theme of the state convention of the F H A, (Future Homemakers of America). The two day convention was held last Friday and Saturday, Mar. 4 and 5 in Salt Lake City. Seven girls went from the high school. They were Joey Ferry, Elayne Green, Clella Humphfus, Kathleen Kath-leen Matheson, Valerie Leigh, Talma Polk and Lois Mecham. The program consisted of an open house Friday night, meetings meet-ings Saturday morning and afternoon, after-noon, and a banquet Saturday night. Neta Seegmiller and the mother of one of the girls went to Salt Lake Citv with the girls. The high school students will get a two day vacation from school on Thursday and Friday, Mar. 17 and 18. The spring vacation vaca-tion is the only holiday the students stu-dents have between the time school takes up in January and the day school lets out in May. |
