Show SUMMIT NOTES Hulda Peterson Mrs. Ella Lawrence left Saturday Satur-day for San Diego, Calif., to visit with her son, Boyd Lawrence and family for an indefinite period. Mrs. Susanna Hulet and members mem-bers of her family spent Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Adams in Cedar City, honoring Mr. Adams on his birthday. Our Sunday School officers and teachers attended the monthly preparation meeting in Parowan Sunday. Little Miss Carol Chamberlain suffered a serious hand injury last week when children tipped a cream separator onto her while they were playing. Bobbv Pothier of Cedar City spent the week end here with his cousin, Dick Fife, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudger Fife. Miss Emma Nielson, county home demonstration agent, spent Monday afternoon with the women wo-men of Summit, teaching them to make and paint beautiful trays from aluminum metal. The young women were thrilled with the work. The Relief Society held a food sale Saturday to raise funds to help meet the ward's budget on the stake welfare farm. Sufficient Suf-ficient funds were realized on the sale to meet the Relief Society So-ciety quota. The Trlmary officers held their monthly preparation meeting at the home of Mrs. Donna Daven- port, president. Mrs. Mary Lawrence Law-rence gave the lesson very interestingly, in-terestingly, using visual aids. A motion picture was presented in the ward chapel Saturday night, and was enjoyed by those In attendance. Motion pictures are rare entertainment In the "ward. Mrs. Nieta Jones spent Sunday In Parowan visiting with Lillie Barton, who is leaving to spend the summer months in Lancaster, Calif., with one of her daughters. daugh-ters. . Mr. and Mrs. Victor Smith are 1 the proud parents of a baby girl, born to them last week. Mr.- and Mrs. Albert Matheson have returned from California where they had been on business busi-ness for the past month. |
