Show Greyhound Officers Report Public Enthusiasm Of Special Day as Revealed by Participation "Greyhound Day" In Cedar City was observed Wednesday, Mar. 9 by the Greyhound company. com-pany. According to W. F. Johnson, district sales representative, the response in Cedar City was wonderful won-derful and the company was pleased with the privilege of having hav-ing more than 350 people tour the city and area during the day in the new bus. During the day free demonstration demonstra-tion rides were offered to residents resi-dents and final figures told that over 350 enjoyed the rides. During Dur-ing the course of the rides it was explained that each of the new buses cost the Greyhound company $33,000; that the bus got from six to eight miles per gallon and the gasoline tank co-paclty co-paclty is 200 gallons. Wednesday evening 325 people plus a host of youngsters were in attendance at the College of Southern Utah auditorium where a travel film and travel talks were enjoyed. Grand prize offered by the company at the evening show was a Samsonite Wardrobe bag. Holder of the winning ticket was little Calvin Benson, of the local Indian village. Throughout the day door prizes were offered to participants in the program. The event was termed successful success-ful by local agent Robert Pothier and those who participated Indicated In-dicated an enjoyable "Greyhound Day." |
