Show Parowan Man Hurt When Caught in Automatic Hay Baler Almon Hills Orton, 44, Parowan, Paro-wan, is recovering in the Iron County hospital after having been treated for severe Injuries to both of his arms when they were caught in the rollers of a hay baler on his farm. Following examination at the hospital, it was found that the arms could be saved even though the flesh and ligaments were badly torn and bruised. Orton was momentarily alone Thursday afternoon, when his arms became caught in the automatic au-tomatic hay baler, and they were mangled up to the shoulders. He was discovered by his brother, Silas Orton, who had to go to Parowan to get help to release the man's arms. An acetylene torch and crowbars were used to cut and pry away parts of the machine so the victim could be removed. Attending physicians state that he will probably be laid up for some time to come. |
