Show legion Post No. 74 Elects New Slate oi Officers At an election meeting of the American Legion Monday evening, eve-ning, Milton Jolley was elected commander of the Cedar City Post No. 74 to succeed James Hoyle, Jr. Jolley, who has been active in civic affairs, was recently co-chairman co-chairman of the veteran sponsored spon-sored Iron Bowl Race Meet. Other officers who were elected to serve during the coming year are Ross Woolsey, first vice commander; com-mander; Lavell Chamberlain, second vice commander; Claude Edwards, adjutant; J. Frank Dal-ley, Dal-ley, finance officer; Hal Christen-sen, Christen-sen, service officer; John C. Brown chaplain; York Jones historian, his-torian, and John M. Brown, Chauncey Macfarlane and Melville Mel-ville D. Arns, executive council. Two other members 'of the council coun-cil are Jolley, newly elected commander, com-mander, and Hoyle, the Immediate Immed-iate past commander. Installation of the new officers offi-cers is expected to be held shortly short-ly after the state convention here in Cedar City this week end. The new officers will be Installed by Wells Starley, Fillmore, district commander, and Hoyle, the district dis-trict vice commander. |
