Show ' Hoyt Scores TKO in Main Go of Elks Card In the main bout rn the Elks tight card last Saturday evening, Kent Hoyt, 165 pounds, from Cedar Ce-dar City scored a technical knockout over "Sonny" Kelly, 153 pound boxer from Calt Lake City. In a scheduled light round tight before a large audience in the Cedar Armory building, Hoyt was awarded a technical knockout knock-out in the sixth round. Hoyt, a popular Cedar City boxer, had his man down in the tourth, fifth and sixth rounds. In the preliminaries, Spike By bee tangled with Emanuel Singh in a six round affair and walked walk-ed away with the decision. By-bee By-bee carried the fight most of the way, and had his man in serious trouble In the fourth round. How-ever, How-ever, he wasn't quite able to catch him, and Singh lasted out the fight. In a four-round preliminary, Maynard Hartley, substituting at the last moment, put up a very good fight to hold the highly favored Dent Sorenson to a draw. It was a good fight all the way, with both fighters in there punching. Gary Devls and Kim Jensen, in a four round curtain raiser, fought to a draw. Both men were credited with a knockdown, and the fight was even all the way. The card was one of the best staged here, and the crowd appeared ap-peared well satisfied, despite the fact that one bout had to be can celled. Two referees were used during the evening, Jay Lambert, former form-er golden gloves and AAU champion, cham-pion, who is well known In Utah fight circles, and Carl Hazel of Cedar City.
