Show Boyd Adams Wins All-State Title if..; " . " ' . 1 1 Boyd "Goonie" Adams, prominent prom-inent member 01 me Cedar high school basketball team, was given giv-en state wide recognition this week as one of the best of the B team players in Utah, when he was voted a position on the Salt Lake Tribune's all-state B team. A first and second team was selected by vote of the coaches of the state, with eight players given recognition on each of the two teams. The selections resulting result-ing from the vote for first team honors included players from eight teams, six divisions and four regions. Adams, who was among the high scorers of the state throughout through-out the season was placed on the first team, the only player from Region Six to get such recognition. recogni-tion. Gayle Wlnterrose, teammate team-mate of Adams, and one of the outstanding performers in the region re-gion was given honorable mention men-tion in the selections., Bob Sterling of Hurricane was plaml on the second team, and Stan llafea of Dixie was given honorable mention, the only other Dixie division player to be recognized in the Tribune poll. Tlu(H players from the Millard Mil-lard division of Region Six were honored. Don Marshall of Beaver Bea-ver and Ted Myers of Mllford were placed on the second team, and Ted Dalton of Delta was given gi-ven honorable mention. |
