Show By The Governor Of The State Of Utah A PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, the State of Utah owes a definite respon-; slbility to its citizenry in the interest of the conservation of human lives and property, and, WHEREAS, the needless loss of lives by accidents in the homes of our Nation exceed any other single category of accident casualties, and, WHEREAS, such accidents are caused by unsafe practices prac-tices or unsafe conditions, it becomes vitally necessary to awaken the consciousness of our citizens to these hazards and urge them to feel a personal responsibility in removing remov-ing them, and, WHEREAS, the Home Division of the Utah Safety Council, assisted by the American Red Cross, LDS Relief Society, LDS Mutual Improvement Association and LDS Primary Association, Catholic Diocesan of Utah, Jewish Welfare Association, Utah Ministerial Associations, Public Pub-lic Welfare Department, Public Health Nurses Association, Associa-tion, Parent-Teacher Association, Women's Safety Council Coun-cil of Utah, Utah Federation of Women's Clubs, Utah State Firemen's Association, Utah State Insurance Agents Association, As-sociation, and other service groups, pledge themselves to an intensified program of cooperative effort and education edu-cation in home accident prevention. NOW, THEREFORE, I, J. BRACKEN LEE, Governor of the State of Utah, do hereby proclaim the week of March 27 to April 2, as HOME SAFETY WEEK and I urge the citizens of the State of Utah to give full cooperation and engage in suitable observance to make this week the most effective in the history of the State in home and traffic accident prevention. I ask all Utahns, religious, fraternal, educational and patriotic groups of the State to assist in furthering this worthy program by suitable observance of HOME SAFETY SAFE-TY WEEK.
