Education Department Plans Open House February 25 Ray Llndqulst, head of the Physical Phy-sical Education department at the Branch Agricultural college announces an-nounces that an "Open House" has been arranged at the college this year to replace the usual Dance Review Re-view staged there each spring In past years. The Open House will be held at the college gymnasium Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, February 23, and Mr. Llndqulst Invites everyone In town to attend. An Open House Queen will be selected se-lected at the opening of the even-Ings even-Ings entertainment. Registration will begin a 6:30 p. m. with each guest given an opportunity to vote for one of the Queen candidates nominated nom-inated by the fraternities on ttie campus. The nominees Include Beverly Bev-erly Fife, Olga Taylor, Vivian Hatch. Colleen Bagley, Yvonne Kelson and Joy Webster. At 7:30 p. m. activities will get underway demonstrating the work accomplished in the physical education edu-cation department. Ten teams will open the program with Intramural contests In badminton, table tennis, basketball, golf, etc. This will be followed by a boxing and wrestling match, after which Individual sports such as foul pitch, Indian wrestle, push-ups, tire wrestle, weight lifting and elbow wrestling, will be featured. fea-tured. The newly elected queen will then be crowned, after which dancing demonstrations will be given. A pyramid building act will climax the program, and the balance of the evening will be spent In social dancing. |
