Show KAIIARRA I Mrs. La Donna Roundy and small daughter have returned to their home in California after visiting here with Mrs. Roundy's mother, Mrs. Vaughn Isom. They were accompanied back by her sister, Miss Roma Isom. Mr and Mrs. Garth Pollock spent last week visiting in Yellowstone Yel-lowstone National park, and other oth-er places of interest. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Berry and family, and George A. Berry spent a few days in Salt Lake City. Glade went to visit some of his old friends from different parts of the country who gathered gath-ered there. They were once an all-star basketball team at the University of Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Chris-tensen Chris-tensen made a trip to Glendale Utah to get Mrs. Christensen's mother, who was ill. She 2i receiving re-ceiving medical care at Cedar City. The 4-H girls enjoyed an outing out-ing at Duck Creek last week with the County 4-H clubs, They were accompanied by the leaders Mrs. Lena Williams, Mrs. Georg-ia Georg-ia Williams and Miss Barbara Williams. Misses Carolyn and Renea Hot-tell Hot-tell of Baker, Oregon have returned re-turned to their home after spending spend-ing six weeks here with relatives. rela-tives. The Primary Association held its summer festival last week at the onen air dance hall. The Association has been studying the Scandinavian countries. The teachers and children were dressed in costume to represent the country. They gave a splendid splend-id program and dances. After this Scandinavian lunches were sold. Many of the stake officers from Cedar City were in attendance. attend-ance. Our festival was chosen as the best in the Cedar stake. Their pictures will be taken next Sunday Sun-day and sent to the Children's Friend. Ocal Williams and his mother Manda Williams were business visitors in Hurricane Monday. Mrs. Verda Smith visited last week in Salt Lake City with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Malin. Mrs. Minnie Slack and daughters daugh-ters of Toquerville and Mr. and Mrs. Browning Piatt of Cedar City were Monday visitors here with their mother, Mrs. Mina Piatt. Sunday visitors here were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Williams and family and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Reeves and daughters Faye and Phyllis of Cedar City. Mrs. Hazel Davis went to Price, Utah, over the week end to attend at-tend the funeral of a relative. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pollock received word of the birth of a daughter to their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Birch of Price, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Reeves were Sunday visitors in Toquerville Toquer-ville and La Verkin. |
