Show Thomas Blasted In Speech Here Rue L. Clegg, aspirant for the Republican nomination to the United States Senate, spoke in Cedar City Wednesday evening, and in a blistering attack on Sen. Thomas, he accused him of being "palzy walzy with a lot of communist individuals and subversive organizations". He went on to say that he did not "accuse Sen. Thomas of being be-ing a communist or of belonging to any of their organizations, but he is putty in their hands". He then exhibited two photostatic photo-static copies of covers of the "New Masses" magazine, a well-known well-known communist sheet, according accord-ing to Mr. Clegs. On one cover, Sen. Thomas appears as co-chairman of a committee, along with Paul Robeson, the negro singer who is a member of the communist com-munist party. The cover also lists sponsors, of which 16 are listed by the Dies committee as communists. The other photostat shows Sen. Thomas appearing as one of four contributors to the same magazine. maga-zine. The other three contributors are men listed by the Dies committee com-mittee as "known communists". Clegg is touring the state in his information bus and today is .
