Going into the final round of play Lunt was unlucky in the draw and was forced to play two games on the last night of the meet, but won easily from the Rocky Mountain Produce team from Santa Clara, 13 to 6, and then walloped the Ely Valley Mines team from Pioche, pre-tourney pre-tourney favorites, 10 to 3 to win the winners trophy, presented by the Mullett Jewelry. Ely Valley gained a place in the finals by trimming the Cedar City Elks 4 to 1 in one of the best games of the meet, and then taking the measure of the Iron Mountain team of Cedar City, 5 to 3, in another exceptionally well played game. Rocky Mountain got into the semi-finals by trimming Brad-shaw Brad-shaw Chevrolet of Cedar City 8 to 5, and then taking the measure meas-ure of Enterprise 8 to 3.
