Show Cedar Stake Sets First Conference Clifford E. Young, assistant to the Quorum of Twelve Apostles, will be the church representative at the first Quarterly Conference of the new Cedar Stake, to be held in Cedar City on Saturday anl Sunday, August 28 and 29. In making the announcement of the conference speaker, Stake President David L. Sargent, issued is-sued 3 cordial invitation to the general public to attend the conference con-ference sessions. The first meeting of the conference con-ference will be a Priesthood Leadership meeting in the Third Ward Chapel, President Sargent states. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p. m. Saturday, and all officers of Priesthood Quorums are urged to be present. The first general session will be held in the First Ward Chapel at 10:00 a. m. Sunday, followed by another general session at 2:00 m. m. in same chapel. An M. I. A. session Sunday evening will conclude the first conference of the new Stake. A special feature of the conference con-ference will be the appearance of the newly organized College Ward Choir. The new choir, under un-der the direction of Reed Berrett, has been practicing diligently for the past two months, and will provide the music for the two general sesions of the conference, confer-ence, President Sargent states. |
