Show DIFFERENCE OF OPINION. Union Men Waiting For the Arrival of John Mitchell. Trinidad. Colo., Nov. 23. President William Howells of district union No. 15, United Mine Workers of America, has taken exception to the statements 1 i;br lished te the effect that .he is directly opposing John Mitchell, national president presi-dent of the Mine Workers, in the settlement settle-ment of the strike of the northern Colorado Colo-rado miners. Mr. Howells asserts that his position and his remarks have bten misconstrued. He said: "There has been a difference of opinion as to what would bring about the best result, but that is all. These differences of opinion can bo readily adjusted whenever when-ever Mr. Mitchell. Vice President Lewis or Secretary Wilson arrive on the scent and judge for themselves. When either of these three gentlemen comes, a definite policy will be quickly decided upon." |
