The snnual re- port of Commissioner of Indian Affairs Jones advocates the education of the In- '.'ian in the rudiments of the English j language and that he be-taught that he f must work or starve. Mr. Jones strongly denounces the "sun" and other "religious'' dances of the Inrii-' ans and says that sworn reports of eye- witnesses to these performances show that they are revolting in the extreme.
