Show - Panguitch Patter - Judy Henrie Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wilcock have returned home after being gone for several weeks while Vera had surgery and was recuperating at the home of their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Whittaker in Cedar City. They would like to thank everyone for the nice cards, letters, phone calls, visits and food. Everything was truly appreciated. ap-preciated. On Feb. 20 Leonard and Vera were in St. George to celebrate the birthday of Orin Bell and spend a few days taking in the warm sunshine. sun-shine. Art Greenleaf has been released from the LDS Hospital after his heart surgery several months ago and he and Margaret will stay in Salt Lake City for sometime so he can be near his doctors. Art's mother Mary Riggs also had heart surgery and is in the LDS Hospital. Pat Dix visited with his daughter Pat Shaw in Aurora last week. On Thursday several people attended at-tended the St. George Temple: Virgil Anderson, Vesta Anderson, Robert Smith, Jean LeFevre, Inez Wilson, Jacketta Goodin, Winona Sevy, Hope Goulding, Gale Wilcock, Gai Wilcock. They also stopped in Cedar City on the way home. Frank Daly is a patient in the Garfield Memorial Hospital after suf ering a stroke. He is feeling much better. Alta Yardley had hip replacement surgery in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Trudi Owens had knee surgery at Sevier Valley Hospital in Richfield by Dr. John N. Henrie of Salt Lake City. Karen Henrie of Salt Lake City visited with her mother June Owens during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Henrie who are spending the winter in Mesquite, Nev. came up with his brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Keith O. Henrie and visited his brothers and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Henrie, Mr. and Mrs. Champ Henrie, and Mr. and Mrs. Ercil Henrie, and their sister-in-law Dolly Henrie. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Perkins of West Valley City brought his mother Mary Perkins home from Salt Lake City where she had been receiving medical care, and spent the weekend visiting and taking in the round robin tournament. Mike Morgan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Afton Morgan of Circleville and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Vee Foy has received an LDS mission call to serve in the Houston-Texas Mission. Mr. and Mrs. Danny Frandsen of j Spanish Fork visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Frandsen Fran-dsen and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaDean Gleave over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hanks, Ticaboo visited with her brothers and their wives, the Jim Hatches, the Howard Hatches, sister-in-law Caryle Hatch. Judy Henrie took her daughter Laurie Henrie and Michelle Linford to the Utah Trade Tech at Orem to make plans for attending school next fall. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Leach, Kanab visited at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Leach. Nora Pearson has returned home to stay with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. George Proctor after being with her granddaughters and their families in the northern part of the state while Thora had foot surgery and was recuperating. Nell Clark, Ogden visited at the home of her son and his wife, Mr,, and Mrs. Jay Clark and with her brothers and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Proctor, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Proctor, Mr. and Mrs. George Proctor and with her sister Merle Stowell. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis, Pleasant Grove visited his mother Lula Davis and attended the wedding wed-ding of their nephew Steve Burton, Robert blessed the baby daughter of his brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Davis. Cheri Nielson and Steve Burton were married at the Senior Citizen's Center and a reception was held afterwards. Cheri is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Neilson and Steve is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burton. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Weideman, Shane Weideman and Zach Weideman spent the weekend with Mrs. Weideman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Houston and joined family members here in celebrating Hazel's birthday with a family gathering and dinner. Visiting at the home of Rhoana Workman and attending the wedding wed-ding were her daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Syndergaard of Ferron, her son and his wifo, Mr. and Mrs. Max Johnson ' of McGill, Nevada and her nephew and his wife and Mrs. John Tait of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wilcock, son Dayne Wilcock and grandsons Banjo Wilcock and Bo Wilcock visited during the past week with their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Henderson and a niece Shannon Clark in Kanab. . Ada Hardy returned home to Roseburg, Ore. after spending the past week at the home of her sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sandin where they helped out. Mary Ann Bastian, Richfield is here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sandin and helping take care of her mother who is ill. Dolly Henrie hosted a family dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Henrie, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Henrie, Mr. and Mrs. Champ Henrie, Chris Henrie, Mr. and Mrs. Keith 0. Henrie, Maxine Henrie and Kern Owens. They enjoyed a fun evening of visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Miller visited in Orderville with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaNard Johnson over the weekend and attended the naming and blessing of their niece Laci Lynn Penny the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Penny. Wayne blessed the baby. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Miller also visited with his sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Kim Sherwood Sher-wood in Kanab. In the Panguitch Second Ward sacrament meeting the baby son of Mr. and Mrs. David Peterson was blessed and named Nicholas E. Peterson by his father. Nichole Lyn Dastrup, the baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dastrup was named and blessed by her great - grandfather, grand-father, Willis Larson. In the Panguitch Third Ward sacrament meeting, members of the finance committee were sustained with Frank Henrie as chairman, and Jack Soper and Phil Dickinson as committeemen. Tammy Moore was welcomed into the ward. The baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Davis was named and blessed Misti Alisha by her uncle, Robert Davis and the baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Leach was named and blessed Jordan Leach by her grandfather, Carl Farnsworth. Mr. and Mrs. Art Chidester visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loris Chidester and with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Daly. In the Panguitch First Ward sacrament meeting, the baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Crofts was named and blessed Candace Ireta by her grandfather Si Crofts. On Saturday night, Heidi Christy the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Christy was baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS church by her father. ' In the First Ward sacrament meeting the baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Josie was named and blessed Karsten Michael by his great-grandfather Allen Humphries. Caryle Hatch is a patient in Garfield Memorial Hospital. The town grew by the hundreds the past two weekends as Panguitch High School hosted the Region 12 Round Robin Tournament. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Worthen of St. George visited with her mother Vera Olsen and with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orson Worthen over the weekend. Stuart Reynolds of St. George spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Reynolds. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alden Black have been his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Black of Las Vegas. They came to take in the Round Robin Tournament as their grandson plays for Parowan High School and their granddaughter grand-daughter is a cheerleader. |
