Show Quality Education Editor: We the parents and citizens in Escalante are excited about the increase in enrollment that our schools are experiencing and apr-peciate apr-peciate the experience and quality that our teachers have and give. We love our children and feel it is fine now that both our children and the teachers receive the respect and help they have earned. On February 13, 1986 at the Garfield County School Board meeting we, a group of 30 parents and citizens who traveled 140 miles on a bus, requested the hiring of a full-time Utah-ce? 'fied teacher or to extend the kindergai :n teacher to full-time status and hire a half-day teacher for the second grade and at least three (3) teacher assistants to help take care of our increasing enrollment and to give our children the equal educational opportunity they have been promised. Our campaign is to give our children better-quality education and not to create contention with the other communities and schools. We hope that each of you will understand un-derstand our request and support us in our endeavors. We love and are concerned about our community, teachers, and children and certainlv hope that you as members of the Board of Education and Superintendent Superin-tendent Jolley are as well.
