This ycai .however, I most communities in the county will celebrate on Saturday, July 2. I A potpourri of festivities are h-ne offered in communities throughout the county, and resists resi-sts guests and tourists can take their pick from a variety of activi- ties. Two full days of fun are being planned for Panguitch people. Saturday Sat-urday afternoon's horse races will be followed by an 8 p.m. FFA Junior Ju-nior Rodeo, capped off by a dance at the city park. Rodeo events will include buck sheep riding, junior steer ride, senior steer ride, junior barrel ride, senior barrel ride, pig chase, hide race, calf rope, team rope, ribbon pull, and a rabbit chase. Activities will recess until Monday, July Fourth which will open with a 10 a.m. parade with plenty of prizes, followed by a ham dinner at noon at the city park. All guests are asked to bring their own utensils. Dinner will be $3 per person or $15 per family. Then races, fun and games for all. Park activities will be followed by fes tivities at the community pool, then another FFA Rodeo and fireworks fire-works with a dance at the park winding up the celebration. Henrieville's celebration will begin Saturday at 6 p.m. with a beef barbecue dinner at the city hall, for $10 each adult, 6 to 16 $5 and under 6 free. The celebration features lots of home made root beer, with fireworks at dark fol- lowed by a dance at the tire station. Boulder's celebration also takes place on Saturday, beginning with an 8 a.m. flag raising followed by an 8 to 10 a.m. breakfast. A program pro-gram follows breakfast at 10 a.m. From 11 a.m. to midafternoon games will include volleyball and softball with concessions. At 9 p.m. a dance will feature "Wall-to-Wall" from Salt Lake City provid- c ing the music. Hatch Town will begin its Saturday Sat-urday festivities at 8 a.m. with a flag ceremony. At 10 a.m. a parade will show off contestants' decorating decorat-ing skills. Kids races will start at 1 1 a.m. followed by a program. A goodies sale will begin at noon followed by games and races. Everyone Ev-eryone will feast on watermelon at 5 p.m., followed by a movie. |
