Show Escalante Lucille Cowles Senior citizens traveled to Richfield in the mini-bus. Sherrie Woolsey traveled with her children to California to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Michelangelo. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nutter, former Escalante residents who now live in California, visited in Escalante. Orvil Cowles. His wife, Sara and their children have spent the past week here visiting with the Chase Shurtz family. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Cowles, Richfield have been visiting with the D. H. Cowles. The infant born to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Vidrine's daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. David Knudson, at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City was the smallest ever born at that facility, weighing in at 1 pound 4 ounces. Konnie Woolsey, son of the Robert Woolseys, fractured his foot while helping his dad work on the family car. Sandy Liston has been in the hospital. Jill Marsh and Sunia Spencer are attending summer school in Cedar City. An open house was held at the parsonage of the First Baptist Church for Pastor Milton Carr who moved his family to Escalante this week. The annual July 24 celebration will be held July 20 and 21. Local boy scouts went to Posy Lake to clean the area where the water enters the lake in an effort to help keep the lake clean and to work on merit badges. |
