Show High school seniors can take ACT class College-bound high school seniors can now prepare for the ACT exam by attending classes at the University of Utah on Monday nights beginning April 21. The new course is being offered by the University's Uni-versity's Division of Continuing Education. Instructor Jay Behrman, who also teaches the division's successful prep courses for graduate school entrance en-trance exams, has designed the ACT Prep course to familiarize students with the types of questions they will encounter on the exam. In addition, he has built into the course some practice in vocabulary building and critical thinking skills as well as a healthy review of math. The class will meet Monday nights from 6 until 9:15 p.m. in room 234 of Orson Spencer Hall April 21 to June 3. The noncredit fee is $120. Students who want to enroll should call JaNae Fuller, 581-6746, in the DCE Youth Education Edu-cation Office and ask her to sign them up for Youth Education 88Y-1. 88Y-1. Adults who want to take the course should call DCE Registration, Registra-tion, 581-81 13, to sign up for Educational Edu-cational Studies 70R-1 . |
