Show Rose designated 1991 chairman The Salt Lake City Branch, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco announced an-nounced that D.N. "Nick" Rose, a member of the Branch's Board of Di- rectors, has been designated chairman chair-man for 1991. Mr. Rose is the president presi-dent and chief executive ex-ecutive officer, Mountain Fuel Supply Company, Salt Lake City. Also, effective Jan. 1. 1991, Con- d.n.'NICK' rose nie G. Hogland, executive director, Boise Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc., Boise, Idaho, has been appointed a director. She will replace Don M Wheeler, president, Wheeler Machinery Company, Salt Lake City, who is retiring from the board after serving as a director and chairman of the branch board of directors since 198S. Other members of the Fed's Salt Lake Citv Branch Board of Directors are: Gerald R. Christensen, Ronald S. Hanson, Virginia (Jirmah) Kelson, all of Salt Lake City; Curtis H. Eaton, Twin Falls, Idaho; and Gary G. Michael, Boise, Idaho. is a member of the Governor's Clean Air Commission for the state of Utah and a member of the Governor's Task Force on Child Abuse for the state of Utah. He is a past two-term president of Junior Achievement of Utah and was a recipient of the Junior Achievement National Silver and Bronze Leadership Leader-ship Awards. He also served on the National Advisory Ad-visory Counsel for the School of Management of Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. He is a member of the national Advisory Board, University of Utah Graduate School of Business and College of Business. Hogland worked as a program development de-velopment coordinator for the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation Cor-poration before joining the Boise Neighborhood Housing Services (BNHS) in July 1982 as its executive director. The BNHS is a community non-profit partnership of resident, private and public interests. It provides pro-vides leadership for improving the quality of life in Boise, Idaho area neighborhoods. She is a member of the Affordable Housing Program, Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle, a member of the Boise 2010, Boise Visions Committee, Com-mittee, Membership chairman of the Idaho Society of Association Executives Ex-ecutives and a member of the Board of Directors of the Caring for Kids Camp of the Goicoechea Foundation. Hogland is a former member of the allocations committee of United Way of Ada County, a former advisory board member, College of Idaho Spring Symposium, a former advisory ad-visory board member of the Boise 70,001 Project for Boise Independent Schools, a former vice president of Community Revitalization and Development, De-velopment, National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, Offi-cials, a former member of the Western Region and National Advisory Ad-visory Board, Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation and has participated in the Leadership Boise program. In November 1989 she was selected for the "White Rose" award as an outstanding woman of Idaho by the March of Dimes. Also in 1989 she received the "Spirit of the American Woman" Award of the J.C. Penney Foundation and in May 1988 was selected as "The Idaho Statesman's Distinguished Citizen. ' ' The branch provides central bank services in Utah, Idaho and Nevada. Through its many operating functions, func-tions, it plays an important role in the economic and financial activities of the region. Rose nas spent wtmi g hogland his corporate career ca-reer with Mountain Fuel Supply, a retail natural gas distribution and sales company serving Utah, southwestern Wyoming, and southeastern Idaho. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Mountain Fuel Supply Company and the Board of Directors of Mountain Fuel Supply Company and Questar Corporation, Mountain Fuel's parent company. In addition to his business activities, ac-tivities, Rose is active in industry and civic affairs. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Coast Gas Association and in leadership leader-ship positions for the Joint Pacific Coast Gas AssociationPacific Coast Electrical Association Administrative Services Section. He currently serves on the American Gas Association Industry Communications Committee. He is a past chairman of the Board of Governors Gover-nors of the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and has served as chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Utah Economic Development Corporation. Rose is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Utah Foundation and the Board of Directors of the University Univer-sity of Utah Alumni Association. He |
