Show Students thanked FARMINGTON Davis County extended appreciation to 39 Davis High School students Monday Mon-day for their help in entering the county's proposed policy and procedures pro-cedures manual onto computer disk. The project was the brainchild of county auditor Ruth Kennington, who received an enthusiastic response from the business class at the school when she requested help in getting the document entered into the county computer system where it can be easily revised and edited. "They were taking a class in word processing, and they jumped at the opportunity to put their skills to a practical use," she said. "They put in over 300 hours to get the job done. They're some really outstanding outstan-ding students." The group's efforts were recognized recog-nized by the county commission, which issued certificates of appreciation ap-preciation to each student and congratulated con-gratulated them on a job well done. The policy and procedure document docu-ment is still being reviewed by the commission pending final approval. Once adopted, the document will provide a comprehensive guideline for each department in the county to follow in accordance with state statutes and county ordinances. "In the past, we've been hit for not having a good policy document during our annual audits," Kennington Kenn-ington said. "This will bring us into compliance." |
